Fair Housing Statement

Long Haus is committed to equal opportunity housing for all.

Our Commitment

Long Haus, operated by Nue Craft Homes, is committed to compliance with the federal Fair Housing Act, the Texas Fair Housing Act (Texas Property Code Chapter 301), and all applicable state and local fair housing laws.

We believe that every person who meets our screening criteria deserves equal access to quality housing. Our screening process — which includes internal review criteria, secure financial verification through Plaid where applicable, and overall application assessment — is applied consistently to every applicant, without exception.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Long Haus does not discriminate in the sale, rental, or financing of housing, or in the provision of brokerage services, based on:

Race or colour
National origin
Religion
Sex
Familial status
Disability
Sexual orientation
Gender identity

This list reflects federally and state-protected classes. We also comply with any additional protections provided by local ordinance.

Our Screening Process

Applications are assessed using documented screening criteria, verified financial information where available, and internal review processes designed to support consistent and explainable decisions.

Some applications are straightforward. Others may require additional review, clarification, or manual assessment before a final decision is made.

Where applicable, leasing terms may vary depending on the overall application profile and review outcome.

We do not present Plaid or any single data source as the sole basis for every decision. Final decisions are made using the broader application review process.

Reasonable Accommodations and Modifications

Long Haus will make reasonable accommodations in rules, policies, practices, or services when such accommodations may be necessary to afford a person with a disability equal opportunity to use and enjoy a home.

We will also permit reasonable modifications to the premises when necessary for a person with a disability to have full enjoyment of the home, in accordance with the Fair Housing Act.

To request a reasonable accommodation or modification, contact us at leasing@longhauscompany.com.

Assistance Animals

Long Haus complies with federal and state laws regarding assistance animals, including emotional support animals. Assistance animals are not subject to pet deposits or pet restrictions. Requests for assistance animal accommodations should be directed to leasing@longhauscompany.com.
