Referral program
Referral program terms
These terms explain how Long Haus tracks renter referrals and when a referral reward may be earned. The referral program is designed to help renters start through a clear, attributable path.
A referral reward is not guaranteed. Rewards depend on attribution, eligibility, a qualifying signed lease, completed move-in, and Long Haus review.
Who can participate
- Current residents, past residents, agents, employers, community contacts, and other approved referrers may participate unless Long Haus determines a referral is ineligible.
- Self-referrals, duplicate claims, false contact information, and referrals submitted after Long Haus already has the prospect in process may be ineligible.
How attribution works
- Referrals should use a Long Haus referral link or code so the lead can be attributed correctly.
- If more than one person refers the same renter, Long Haus may use timestamp, source records, and leasing notes to determine attribution.
What makes a referral qualifying
- The referred renter must complete the required leasing process, be approved under Long Haus criteria, sign a qualifying lease, and complete move-in.
- Completing eligibility, touring a home, applying, or connecting verification does not by itself create a payable referral reward.
Reward timing and method
- Referral rewards are reviewed after the qualifying lease is active and move-in is complete.
- Rewards may be issued as a rent credit, digital payout, ACH, or another method approved by Long Haus. Timing and method may vary.
Program changes
- Long Haus may modify, pause, or discontinue the referral program at any time.
- Fraud, policy abuse, lease cancellation, move-in reversal, or inaccurate referral information may delay or void a reward.
Fair housing and screening standards
Referrals do not change Long Haus screening criteria or fair housing obligations. Every applicant is reviewed under the same applicable process regardless of referral source.
